Julie Bacon

President

Julie Bacon is an entrepreneur and founder of her own consulting practice; co-founder of a niche publishing company, Playground Press; and founder and executive director of The Halo Effect, a non-profit organization that connects for-profit and non-profit communities. In addition, Julie began volunteering with the Loudoun Therapeutic Riding Foundation in 2005 and was elected to the Board of Directors that same year.

Julie has spent more than fifteen years in the private sector in marketing, sales, client relationship and leadership roles. Her extensive business experience, non-profit passion and equestrian accomplishments combine to make her a perfect fit for the LTRF organization.

Marianne JonesMarianne Jones has been involved with non-profits for over 18 years.  She has served in multiple capacities such as recreational therapist, coach, board member and fundraising coordinator for Easter Seals, Special Olympics, Kim Robards' Dance Company, and Jefferson County Community Center, all located in Denver, Colorado.

After moving to Northern Virginia from Denver in 2004, Marianne's passion for horses, volunteer work and non-profits brought her to LTRF in 2005 as a volunteer with the riding therapy program.  She was later voted onto the Board of Directors. She has a BA in Behavioral Science and is an accomplished high school coach, athlete, and personal training business owner.  Marianne currently lives in Leesburg with her husband and 9 year old daughter.

Patrick Mullins

Patrick Mullins has a BA in Economics from Columbia University, J.D. from George Washington School of law, and hold C.P.C.U and Risk Management degrees from the Insurance Institute of America. He is now semi-retired from Market Insurance Company as well as continues to give speeches to countless Rotary Clubs, equine associations and conferences across the country.

Patrick is the immediate past president of NARHA, President and Legislative Chair of the Virginia Horse Council, former Vice Chair of the board for the Virginia Horse Center, board member of CHA, and past office holder at both the local and District levels of Rotary. During his term as Rotary District Governor he traveled to South Africa and secured a Rotary Grant to start a Therapeutic Riding Program in Petersburg, South Africa.

David McMunn

David McMunn, President and Chief Executive Officer of McMunn Associates Incorporated, founded the Company in 1992. Based in Herndon, Virginia, his firm provides consulting and training services to Government and Commercial organizations engaged in national security concerns, law enforcement and national and commercial maritime security. Prior to entering the private sector, he had served on active duty as a U.S. Navy Intelligence Officer, retiring as a Captain detailed to the White House as Director for Border Security.

Mr. McMunn is a Trustee on the Board of the Naval Intelligence Foundation and serves on the Advisory Board for the Global Maritime and Transportation School at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He is also a Senior Associate at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, Center on Terrorism, Counter-Terrorism, and Homeland Security. Mr. McMunn earned a Masters of Arts degree in History from the Georgetown University and completed program for Senior Officials in National Security at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He is married to Susan McMunn, a certified instructor at the Loudoun Therapeutic Riding Foundation.
